Mary Dessoye (Co-Owner)
Tap, Jazz, Theatre Jazz, Hip Hop, and Production Choreographer
Mrs. Dessoye is a graduate of St. John’s University in New York City and holds a B.S. in Communications. Mrs. Dessoye’s Performances and Television credits: Judge Judy commercial for UPN cable television, Orlando Magic Basketball, Madison Square Garden, New York Mets, World Powerlifting Organization, ESPN and Kid N’ Play with Warner Brothers Productions. Mrs. Dessoye was a performer and choreographer for the After Shock Hip Hop team in Orlando, as well as for the St. John’s University Dance Team in Queens, New York. Her 28 years of training includes studying under tap dancing greats: Savion and Abron Glover and the Conceiver of the Tony Award-winning musical Fosse, Chet Walker.
Tosha Williams (Co-Owner)
Vocal Technique, Acting, & Musical Theatre
Mrs. Williams is currently the Choral Director at Silver Sands Middle School where her Concert Choir, Show Choir, and vocal soloists have consistently received Superior ratings at District Festival as well as the musical theatre ensembles receiving Superior ratings and Critic’s Choice Awards at both District and State level Thespian Festivals. Mrs. Williams is the former Director of Theatre Studies at the Angels by Choyce Academy of the Arts Studio where she directed several children’s theatre productions, including “Alice in Wonderland”, “Peter Pan” and “Babes in Toyland”. She is an alumnus of the Fort Lauderdale Children’s Theatre program. Mrs. Williams was New York’s Junior Miss in 1981 and appeared in the nationally televised America’s Junior Miss Program and was actively involved with the Volusia County’s Junior Miss Program for 12 years.
Lyrical and Ballet
Ms.Brianne (Ms. Breezy) was born and raised in Port Orange, FL. She started dance at the age of 5. Brianne studied Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Lyrical, Modern, and Hip Hop. She started competitive dance at age 9 and won awards that took her to NY and Las Vegas to study and perform with dancers from all around the United States. Along with being apart of the Academy of Fine Arts competition team, Brianne took many master classes that were offered in Florida. As she got older, she started teaching baby ballet classes and private lessons for Tap and Lyrical. Although she was well-rounded and studied all the forms of dance, her forte was Lyrical and Tap. Brianne was apart of the Atlantic High School dance team, Nautica. Brianne married her high school sweetheart and they now have 3 children. Brianne’s youngest is taking Ballet and Tap and she hopes her daughter will follow in her footsteps.
Ballet & Rockette
Sarah Misiano began dancing at a very young age in Oak Park, Illinois at the Academy of Movement and Music. Her professional career began when she performed as a party girl in The Nutcracker in the Ruth Page Production at Arie Crown Theater in Chicago. She studied ballet at the Patricia Sigurdson School of Ballet and performed with Salt Creek Ballet throughout her teen years. She graduated cum laude earning a BFA in dance performance from Butler University in Indianapolis, IN. While in the Butler Ballet, Sarah performed roles such as Aurora inSleeping Beauty, the Sugar Plum Fairy in The Nutcracker and a soloist in Les Sylphides and La Bayadere. Upon graduation Sarah danced in companies such as Ballet Arizona and Ballet Chicago, winning roles like the Cheshire Cat in Michael Uthoff’s production of Alice in Wonderland. Eventually, Sarah landed a job at Walt Disney World in Beauty and the Beast Live where she changed her trajectory from ballet into Musical Theater. Next followed a contract with Tokyo Disneyland where she danced in the Hoop de Doo Revue and The Diamond Horseshoe. Five years with the Radio City Rockettes were a favorite highlight of Sarah’s performing career. Her years of hard work auditioning in New York City paid off with jobs in the Broadway production of 42nd Street and the national tour of The Producers. Sarah was also a dancer in the 2010 movie production of The Producers. Throughout Sarah’s varied performing career, she has enjoyed teaching ballet to students of all ages.
Madeline Moon Tyser
Madeline Moon Tyser started dancing at the age of 5 in the Daytona area. She was a part of the Papillon Dance Ensemble and in the IB Program at Spruce Creek. She went on to get her Bachelors in Fine Arts from the University of South Florida, with a concentration in performance and choreography. Here she was able to perform and train extensively in different styles of modern technique, ballet technique, kinesiology, and choreography. Upon graduating she had the opportunity to perform and study different dance techniques in Paris, France through the USF Dance in Paris Program.
Upon returning to the US she began dancing with The Tallahassee Ballet under the direction of Rick McCullough. After a season in Tallahassee, she joined Nashville Ballet’s 2nd company, where she was able to train and perform with the main company as well as discover her passion for arts education and outreach. Also while in Nashville she had the pleasure of dancing with the Nashville Shakespeare Festival in their performance of Macbeth as one of the 3 witches, and also featured as a dancer in Justin Nault’s music video “Puppet”. After 2 years in Nashville, she moved to Columbia, SC to dance with Columbia Classical Ballet for a season and Columbia City Ballet for 3 seasons. While with Columbia City Ballet she toured extensively throughout the southeast.
Madeline is very excited to be back home now teaching and sharing her experiences with the next generation of dancers.
Piano & Clarinet
Ms. Brock is very excited to be a part of the growing Orbit Team. She has over 30 years of piano experience and is currently the accompanist for the Silver Sands Middle School Choirs. As a graduate of the University of Central Florida, she holds a B.A. in Communication and a minor in Music Education with emphasis in piano and clarinet. She is currently attending Daytona State to complete education courses with hopes of obtaining her K-12 Music certification by the Fall of 2014.
